Its been over a year and a half.
When he was elected president, I was concerned and pretty much worried, but I decided to at least give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he wasn't as bad as everyone said.

Unfortunately, he was, and I'm pretty sure that everything surrounding him -- from the actual """""fake news""""" he spreads to a literal porn star calling him out -- proves this. This disgrace of a human being is still running a big nation, and yet he doesn't seem to understand what that implies, at all.

Edit: I just remembered that people are actually learning politics and everything about government procedures because all the bullshit he spreads completely contradicts it, so at least he's doing one thing right.
Say what you will, but it takes a certain level of intellect to use nothing more than 4th grade level language and slander his way into presidency. But long before that, the man entered 9 billion dollars in debt and SOMEHOW managed to climb out, ending up with a net worth of over 3 billion after the whole ordeal. The average man would break down if they entered 2 thousand in debt.

What do I think of him now? He's a great showman... he's putting on a show, he's toying with people's emotions and the television screens are broadcasting his unique blend of spectacles and entertainment. The man's always been a showman; he hosted his own television series titled "The Apprentice" so he knows a LOT about being a showman.

You can dislike the man all he wants, but there are many things to learn from him. To those who are interested in engaging in said learning, check out his audio book "The Art of the Deal" on YourTubs, absolutely free of charge. The price for the actual book ranges between $15-$25 so... I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I know deals, I got the best deals.

Has Donald Trump done anything good yet?

Actually, yes. He promoted the current Korean peace talks.

Of course, the fact that the only good thing that is easy to quote concerns foreign politics is extremely ironic in the face of his claimed policy of putting his country first.

Some of the evidence suggests that he's actually very much in debt still. Rich people can leverage debt differently than your average Joe, Trump himself has said as much. In this instance, it may be that his true net worth is actually quite a bit lower than you suggest, factoring in the various debts he owes.

Most of what I'm pulling from is from articles that I read quite a while back, so I no longer have the links. From what I understand, he's only actually required to disclose debts of companies that he completely owns, of which he had disclosed at least $315 million: https://www.businessinsider.com/how-much...bts-2017-6

But companies that he partly owns also owe debt, which aren't counted as part of that disclosure. There's also the fact that we don't have his tax returns, which would shed a lot more light on his finances outside of what he's willingly disclosed.

His economy is booming, don't you know?

(i'm joking)
He's putting some pressure under the Venezuelan government and that's interesting. However, sanctions hurt the people, not the government, so...

This is not at all about being rich or poor, but rather about the reason they're in debt.

Poor people are usually in debt due to expenses. The causes are either a sudden spike in operating expenses (in plain English, they suddenly had to spend more than they had) or significant capital expenses (e.g., buying a new TV in monthly installments). But none of these expenses generates a profit: they are usually consumable goods, services, or goods that are bought to be used and either not resellable or only resellable at a lower price after being used. Since the loaned money is exchanged for goods whose value is lost, this results in a net loss. And thus the debt is a bad thing.

On the other hand, people in a better financial position (and I don't necessarily mean "rich" here) often get in debt due to investing money. If you can borrow money at a 10% interest and generate a 20% profit on it, you'll actually gain money, even though you'll have to repay the loan. Many not-so-rich people actually make this kind of profit through mortgages; heavy investors will obviously use this strategy often, as it lets them get (part of the) profits for investing someone else's money.
Midterms are coming up, it will be interesting to see how they play out. Especially after the whole Kavanuagh shitshow

Maybe we live in an imaginary world as an effect of someone saying "Imagine if this guy was the president"

For real, I still find it hilarious.
