Dangerous Doors 2: A Knoble Cause
#1
[Image: 672f9dd83cc05845094415510a29d97f.png]

Dangerous Doors 2 is the sequel to a game where 16+ people sign up and have to pick a door. Each door has something different inside. Some doors contain nothing, letting you proceed to the next round. Some doors could contain things which damage you or even instantly kill you, eliminating you from the game. Some doors could contain items that let you skip rounds, prevent death, gain hp, and kill others. I had this idea on the Kongregate forums and forgot about it, so I decided to revive it in Acid Forums. It went well, so I made the sequel. Unfinished Kongregate version can be found here. Dangerous Doors 1 can be found here.

What's new?
Well, now the game has stats. Health, Max Health, Damage, Defense, Fortune, and Luck. The game is a lot more forgiving with the addition of health, because you only die when you lose all of your HP. Damage and Defense change how much damage is dealt and taken to various things. Fortune multiplies the money you earn. Lastly, lots of different things having to do with random chance are affected by your Luck stat. There will be more people this time, and it will be formatted so you don't have to check the OP.

Lore
Long ago in the town of Doorsburg, people were happy with their normal every day lives. Some people wished they could do more with their life, they wanted to feel accomplished. Word got out of a doorknob so shiny, it could blind even the toughest monster. Many explorers traveled deep into the Dangerous Dungeon in search of this doorknob. To bring it back would bring them fame and fortune, and some mad pussy. Many explorers were passive and didn't harm others. Other explorers used cutthroat tactics to make sure they were the one to bring back the shiny doorknob. Finally, one brave adventurer by the name of Snorlax brought it back to the town. But much to the town's surprise, it turns out the knob was a fake! It couldn't even blind an old lady on a sunny day! So this leads to you, brave souls. Sign up to Dangerous Doors 2: A Knoble Cause to become an adventurer. Find the golden doorknob and get that mad pussy!

How to Play
1. First I need some people to actually play the game. If you played Dangerous Doors 1, go ahead and reenter. I'm going to see if I can get up to 32 people this time, but if not, I'll start with as little as 16. Entry post should look like this:
Quote:I would like to join. I will start off by picking door [insert door here].
2. Each player starts with 500 hp and 750 max hp. Each player also starts with a random amount of money from $250 to $750. Each player starts with 100 damage, 0 defense, 100 fortune, and 100 luck.
3. Each round I reveal a "pool" of possibilities which represent all of the possible things that can be behind the doors for that round. You must pick a number (the number of your door) and wait until everyone has picked to see what you got. Certain items can be used instead of picking a door. A key, for instance, allows you to skip the round if the pool is not satisfactory.
4. After all of the doors are revealed, some time will be given for players to use their items and purchase items if they found a shop.
5. Some rounds may be replaced with bonus rounds that could offer bargains or chances to win items.
6. The game continues until one person remains. Running out of hp or dying to another cause eliminates you from the game.

Rules
1. No choosing a door someone has already picked, if you do, you must repick.
2. Last person to pick their door gets the last one available.
3. If more than one person doesn't pick their door in a long amount of time, the doors are randomized.
4. Not picking a door 3 rounds in a row will get you killed. I will give you the worst door, determined by my personal door tier list, and whoever was supposed to get it gets the other door. I will enforce this rule harder this time, and send PMs after every missed round.
5. I have all the outcomes predetermined on a google doc, I don't choose who gets what. I use Random.org to determine everything random.
6. Obviously; no improvising, using items you don't have, or playing when you didn't sign up.
7. All unrelated posts will hopefully get deleted. Feedback, questions, and reactions are accepted.
8. Players may trade and give items/money but both sides must firmly agree to the trade before it is performed.
9. The username that you enter with is the username that will stay for the rest of the game.
10. Each player may only be revived once. When you die for the second time, you die for good.

Stat Guide
Damage: You start with 100 damage. The number is the percentage of the base damage that will be added to the weapon you are using. 150 damage with a weapon that deals 50 damage will result in 75 damage.
Defense: You start with 0 defense. The number is the percentage of the damage you take that will be negated. Taking a hit from something that deals 100 damage with 25 defense will only take away 75 HP. 100 defense is perfect. The max is 80.
Fortune: You start with 100 fortune. The number is the percentage of the money that you find that you will actually receive. Finding $500 with 150 fortune will leave you with $750.
