Pretty sure he means VAR for table tennis

I think all (or at least most) sports should have VAR of some kind, a lot more reliable that on on-field referee/umpire

Sounds like a reasonable request. There's no reason to rely on humans alone to make judgement calls when machines can be far more accurate in some cases. "Human error is part of the sport" has always been a shitty argument in favour of cheaters.
